Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is predominantly a ground fighting art focusing on submission holds with joint locks and chokeholds. The premise is that a smaller and weaker person is able to overcome larger and stronger opponents whose advantages are neutralised against a jiu-jitsu exponent when grappling on the ground.
Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is an efficient self defence and an extraordinary way of exercising while developing a wide range of qualities such as humility, discipline, respect, self-esteem, concentration, body awareness and balance. The quality of the Eclipse Gracie Barra team stands for itself.
The classes are headed by world famous Braulio Estima and resident blackbelt Martin Cope taking regular weekly classes, and who have also produced not only national but European And even world champions from this club.
